Knife came nicely packaged, with a strong blade protecting sheath. It cuts through a potato like room temp butter and the slices don't stick to the blade. Makes chopping veg light work!

Originating in Western Asia some 1000+ years ago, Damascus steel was a highly sought after steel variant used for the production of specialty swords. To this day, Damascus blades are characterized by distinctive patterns of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water, sometimes in a "ladder" or "rose" pattern. Such blades were reputed to be tough, and highly resistant to shattering.
